New York requires six weeks in two county-designated newspapers. Direct publication typically costs $399 to $600. Through Albany County we do all of it for a flat $349: both newspapers, all six weeks, both affidavits and the state filing, the $50 fee included.

Every newly formed New York LLC must publish a Notice of Formation once a week for six successive weeks, in two newspapers designated by the county clerk (one daily, one weekly) and then file a Certificate of Publication with the Department of State, along with a $50 filing fee, within 120 days of formation.
You don't get to shop for cheaper papers. The clerk's designation is the designation, so the price of compliance is simply whatever those two papers charge. Westchester publication rates vary with notice length and the county-designated papers.
Miss the 120 days and your LLC's authority to do business in New York is suspended. It isn't dissolved and your contracts stay valid. The law protects its right to defend itself in court; the right to start a lawsuit is not on that list. Publishing late lifts the suspension completely, with no penalty fee. More on the deadline.
| Route | Typical cost |
|---|---|
| Publishing directly in Westchester County | $399 to $600 |
| Through us, all-in | $349 flat |
Ranges are typical market estimates for the full six-week run in both designated papers and vary with notice length and paper. The state's $50 filing fee comes on top of these; our price already includes it.
Section 206 keys the publication requirement to the county where your LLC's office is currently designated on file with the Department of State, not to where you personally sit, and not permanently to the county you first formed in. New York expressly allows an LLC to update that designated county, and the state provides the form for doing it.
Once the designation is Albany, the Albany newspapers are the correct papers to publish in, at Albany's rates, the lowest legal-notice rates in New York State. It is a recognized, above-board route that established filing services have used for years.
And because publication is one-time and permanent, the end state is identical: your Westchester County LLC finishes fully and permanently compliant with §206, having paid Albany rates instead of Westchester County rates.
How our price compares, and what a low quote often leaves out: cheap LLC publication in New York.
We run the whole thing end to end: the county change on file with the Department of State, the six-week run in both designated Albany papers, both notarized affidavits, and filing your Certificate of Publication with the state, the $50 fee included. You don't need a lawyer, a new physical address, or a registered-agent subscription.
When it's done we file it and email you the receipt. Nothing to mail. That's the last time your LLC ever has to think about publication, backed by our 100% money-back guarantee.
Against the $399 to $600 a direct Westchester County publication typically runs, that's roughly $50+ saved at the low end of the range, and considerably more at the high end.
