Form your LLC. Publish it. One price.

We file your New York LLC's Articles of Organization, then handle the six-week publication every new LLC owes, and file the Certificate of Publication. Every state fee included.

Everything a new New York LLC owes

  • the name checked against the state register before you pay,
  • the Articles of Organization filed with the Department of State, $200 fee paid,
  • the notice in both designated newspapers, once a week for six weeks,
  • both notarized affidavits of publication,
  • the Certificate of Publication filed with the state, $50 fee paid.

Forming and publishing together means the publication clock is ours from day one, so the 120-day deadline is never at risk.

Why the county matters

A New York LLC publishes in the newspapers its county designates, and in Manhattan or Brooklyn those cost many times what Albany's do. When we form the LLC we list Albany County on the Articles, so it publishes there at $349. Your business can still be anywhere in New York. Prefer your own county? Pick it at checkout and see its price first.

Add what comes next

  • EIN, $49. The federal tax ID a bank asks for. We apply once the LLC exists and email it to you.
  • DBA, $89. A brand name to trade under, state fee included.

Quick answers about forming a New York LLC

How much does it cost to form an LLC in New York?
The state charges $200 to file the Articles of Organization, and every new LLC must then publish a notice for six weeks and file a Certificate of Publication. With us the whole thing is $549: the $200 filing, publication with both newspapers and affidavits, and the $50 Certificate of Publication filing.
Why is my LLC's county Albany?
New York requires every new LLC to publish in two newspapers designated by its county, and Albany's cost the least in the state. The county on the Articles is the one the publication follows; your business can operate anywhere in New York. You can pick your own county instead and see its price before you pay.
How long does it take?
We file the Articles as soon as you order, and the state's online filing usually returns a receipt the same day. Publication then runs once a week for six weeks, and we file the Certificate of Publication when both affidavits are in. A professional LLC adds a licensing step first.
I'm an accountant, lawyer or other licensed professional. Can you form my PLLC?
Yes. A professional LLC files with a licensing certificate: from the State Education Department for most professions, or from the Appellate Division for lawyers. We handle that step and the certified copy the licensing authority needs afterwards. Every member must hold the licence.
Do I need an EIN?
To open a business bank account, hire or file the LLC's taxes, yes. Add it at checkout for $49 and we apply as soon as the state forms the LLC.
Whose name goes on the Articles?
We sign as the organizer, so the owners' names do not appear on a regular LLC's Articles. The address where the state forwards legal papers does, and it is public. A PLLC's Articles must list its members.
