Terms of Service
Last updated July 2026 · Draft, pending legal review.
1. Who we are
Cheap NY Publication (cheapnypublication.com) is operated by Redstone Castle LLC, a New York limited liability company ("we", "us"). We provide a self-help coordination service for the newspaper-publication requirement that New York LLC Law §206 imposes on newly formed LLCs.
2. Not a law firm
We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice, and using this service does not create an attorney–client relationship. Information on this site is general information, not advice about your situation. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney.
3. What the service includes
For the flat fee shown at checkout: drafting your formation notice; submitting it to the two Albany County clerk–designated newspapers (one daily, one weekly) and paying their publication costs; tracking the six-week run; collecting both Affidavits of Publication; assembling a Certificate of Publication packet; and delivering that packet to you by email with filing instructions. You file the packet with the NY Department of State yourself and pay the state's $50 filing fee directly. The fee does not include the $50 state fee, legal advice, LLC formation, or registered-agent service.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you submit — in particular your exact LLC legal name (character-for-character as registered with the Department of State), formation date, and an Albany County office address that is genuinely your LLC's office. Publication based on inaccurate information may be invalid; re-publication caused by your error is at your expense. You are also responsible for filing the packet within your LLC's 120-day statutory window once we deliver it.
5. Payment and refunds
Payment is processed by Stripe at checkout. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.
6. Timing
Publication takes approximately seven to eight weeks end-to-end. We are not responsible for delays caused by the newspapers, postal service, or state processing times, though we'll keep your status page current throughout.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the order in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including consequences of a missed statutory deadline where we delivered the service as described.
8. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
